Dr. Jamie has studied and performed extensively as a soloist, accompanist, and ensemble player throughout Europe and the United States. Several of her performances have been broadcast on National Public Radio. She was the second place finalist in the Brahms Division of the Joanna Hodges International Piano Competition in Palm Desert, California.

She is a recipient of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Her memberships include Fortnightly Music Club, MTAC and MTNA. She also serves as an adjudicator for these evaluations and local competitions.

Dr. Jamie, with over 35 years experience, teaches all ages and all levels from beginner to college music majors. Her students have placed with highest honors on exams and played in MTAC state conventions. She has a strong theory background and has also developed a unique and effective manner in which to teach sight reading.

In addition to teaching individual students, Dr. Jamie performs throughout the Bay Area as a soloist and as a vocal, choral and instrumental accompanist.
