2024/2025 Guitar Group Class

Guitar Ensemble Performance

We offer Intro to Guitar Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble I, Guitar Ensemble II, and Advanced Guitar Ensemble depending on the guitar student’s level. The Advanced Guitar Ensemble is an award-winning ensemble and has won prizes at such prestigious competitions as The Guitar Foundation of America’s Youth Ensemble!

First Lutheran Church in Palo Alto on Saturday, June 14th!

We will hold a virtual info session about CCM group class on Thursday, August 15th at 6:00 pm. Sign up for the info session here!

If your child has only recently started, or if you are not sure of which to register for please contact the school to see if they are ready.
You can register below, but also feel free to give us a call or email us, and we can take care of it for you!

*All rehearsals and meetings of the groups are at our Sunnyvale location.
*Students must be enrolled in private lessons to attend the group classes.

Introduction to Guitar Ensemble (Group C)

Time: 4:15 – 5:15 PM
Dates: 9/7, 9/21, 10/5, 10/19, 11/2, 11/16, 12/7, 1/4
Teacher: Brad
Level: Suzuki Books 3 and 4 or equivalent repertoire (Ask your teacher if this class is suitable for your child)
Description: This is an introductory guitar ensemble class for students ages 7-12. It offers a fantastic opportunity to play alongside peers of similar age and skill levels in a fun and engaging environment. This class focuses on building the essential skills required for playing in both small and large guitar ensembles. Students should feel comfortable reading notes in the first position. There will also be opportunities to play solo repertoire for each other. Register Here

Guitar Ensemble I (Group D)

Time: 4:15 – 5:15 PM
Dates: 9/14, 9/28, 10/12, 10/26, 11/9 , 11/23, 12/14, 1/11

Level: Suzuki Books 5 and 6 or equivalent repertoire (Ask your teacher if this class is suitable for your child)
Description: This is an intermediate guitar ensemble class for students who feel comfortable reading up to the 12th fret on all six strings. It offers a fantastic opportunity to play alongside peers of similar age and skill levels in a fun and engaging environment. Students will begin to explore topics such as phrasing, articulation, and rubato in an ensemble setting. There will also be opportunities to play solo repertoire for each other. Register Here

Guitar Ensemble II (Group E)

Time: 4:15 – 5:15 PM
Dates: 9/14, 9/28, 10/12, 10/26, 11/9, 11/23, 12/14, 1/11

Level: Suzuki Books 7 and 8 or equivalent repertoire (Ask your teacher if this class is suitable for your child)
Description: This class is designed for intermediate guitar students preparing for the advanced ensemble. The class offers a valuable opportunity to develop ensemble skills in a positive and encouraging environment. Students will go further into topics such as phrasing, dynamics, articulation, and rubato within the context of an ensemble. Students will also begin performing and auditioning for local events such as the Junior Bach Festival. Register Here

Advanced Guitar Ensemble

Time: 4:15 – 5:30 PM
Dates: 9/7, 9/21, 10/5, 10/19, 11/2, 11/16, 12/7, 1/4

Level: Suzuki Book 9 and beyond or equivalent repertoire (Ask your teacher if this class is suitable for your child)
Description: This class is designed for advanced guitar students to perform in a solo and ensemble setting. The advanced ensemble provides an enriching musical environment, and allows students to further develop their skills and explore complex repertoire. Students will have opportunities to perform at numerous local concerts and competitions. Students in the advanced ensemble have recently been admitted to schools such as Stanford, Yale, Northwestern, USC, and more. Register Here
