Piano & Voice Faculty

Maddison is a lyric soprano who studied vocal performance at the University of California - Santa Cruz with a concentration in opera theater as a Bachelor of Music student. She started studying piano at a young age and has sung in many choirs as both a student and section leader for a diligent sixteen years. She continued striving for musical achievement in her collegiate years where she placed in numerous competitions including the 2026 Cal-Western Regional NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competition placing third in her category. This competition spanned across five U.S. states and included hundreds of competitors. She also placed first in the 2025 Classical NATS Bay Area Chapter spanning the Bay Area. During her time in university, she participated in numerous operas where she played many principal roles including Orpheus in the Underworld as Venus, The Magic Flute as Pamina, Le Nozze di Figaro as the Contessa, Iolanthe as Iolanthe, Amahl and the Night Visitors as the Mother, The Little Prince as the Rose, and more. In the Summer of 2025, she made her debut globally in Berlin, Germany where she performed as Damigella in L'incoronazione di Poppea and completed her role study as Poppea with the Berlin Opera Academy. Through her achievements and roles, she learned the importance of role and music preparation.

Using her experiences and pedagogical studies in music, Maddison enjoys integrating her music knowledge to help encourage students of all ages to use their voices as an outlet for creativity. She believes that while technique and music theory are foundational towards singing, compassion and understanding for the music sung and the singer are equally as important. To foster healthy growth within the singer both mentally and vocally, she establishes lessons focused on motivation for the student through specific and individualistic guidance. She emphasizes music theory, ear training, sight reading, and solfège/scale degree for both piano and voice.
