Seth is a violinist, fiddler, composer and teacher. A skilled improviser, he frequently performs jazz, classical and folk music throughout the Bay Area. He studied violin with William Barbini, and composition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with Elinor Armer. He studied traditional fiddling with Alasdair Fraser, Jeremy Kittel and others. His pedagogical approach has been influenced by the work of Suzuki, Galamian, D.C. Dounis and Lev Vygotsky.

In his lessons, Seth focuses on musicianship, theory and technique. Through an emphasis on fundamentals he seeks to develop skilled violinists and confident young artists.
