Yamila Taboas, M.M. Pianist, Teacher, Music Director
Yamila Taboas a classical concert pianist, graduated from The Pablo Casals Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico and The Peabody Institute of Music of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. She received training from Jesus Maria Sanroma, Ellen Mack Senofsky and master classes from Leon Fleisher. A performer at solo, ensemble, opera & theatrical arts productions, radio and life TV recordings, in California, Arizona, Maryland and Puerto Rico. Ms. Taboas has played and directed musical theater in the Sonoma County for The Santa Rosa Players, Sonoma State University Pre- College Programs, Sonoma Community Center and Mendocino College. Her teaching career consists of positions at well respected schools starting from The Casals Conservatory of Music, Sonoma State University Pre-College Programs, to upscale private schools to public schools in the Santa Rosa School District, she has created and implemented her own music & drama programs. Her students have excelled at different levels of performance such as competitions, theater productions, radio and TV recordings. Ms. Taboas performs and teaches in her piano studio.
