Yuetong Pei started playing violin at the age of seven. She received her Master of Music in violin performance from San Francisco State University where she studied with Professor Zakarias Grafilo, the first violin of the Alexander String Quartet. Yuetong has also studied with Xian Liu, the principal second violin of the China National Center for the Performing Arts Orchestra.

Through teaching, Yuetong shares her experience and her passion for music. She keeps seeking to explore music more deeply with her students and connect with each present moment. She believes music is both a long journey that makes us open our minds to constantly seek and create and a long process that allows us to explore and get in touch with our inner selves. She believes that her responsibility as a music educator and performer is to pass on beauty and a meaningful life philosophy.
