Parent Spotlight – Evelyn Chua
Regarding guitar instruction, what are you most proud of your child accomplishing?
I am most proud of Constantine’s growth from a young beginner into a dedicated and accomplished guitarist. He has developed the confidence to perform and continues to challenge himself while retaining a genuine love for the guitar.
What advice would you give a new parent starting in the program?
Find a teacher who understands how your child learns and what motivates them. Teacher Abshir has been an excellent mentor who adapts his teaching style to bring out the best in Constantine. Consistent practice is important, but so is allowing your child to enjoy the music and develop at their own pace.
Why did you decide to give your child a musical upbringing?
Music provides a lifelong source of joy, creativity, and self-expression. We hoped music would become a meaningful part of Constantine’s life, something he could continue to enjoy and share with others for many years.
Congratulations, Constantine!
